Each year, Dance Writer Media Australia hosts an annual charity gala to raise vital funds for a chosen charity. Dancers and performers from across Australia come to perform a piece in the Gala. Collectively, we have raised more than $15,000 to charities including National Breast Cancer Foundation, beyondblue, Very Special Kids and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

HI, I’M MYA MOLLICA

My name is Mya Mollica and I am a friendly and energetic person who holds a great love for the performing arts. I am a current dancer with more than 12 years of dance experience, including competitions, theatre dance production as well as achieving a Certificate II in Dance. I am a Dance Writer Ambassador because my passion for dancing has motivated me to inspire performers and artists on the great value performing arts has in our world. I want to share how it allows people to learn about themselves and others through expressive feeling and creativity, allowing them to explore the amazing arts culture Australia has to offer. 

 

HI, I’M EMMA ROBINSON

Emma Rose Robinson is a classically trained dancer from Sydney with a wide range of performance, choreography and teaching experience. She has obtained a Certificate IV in Dance, performance and choreography and is currently studying a bachelor’s degree in Dance Education at the Australian College of Physical Education. She is a Dance Writer ambassador because it combines her two passions of dance performance and writing.

In leading the Dance Writer Ambassador program, I aim to inspire others to share everything that the performing arts sector has to offer.
