January 2018

16-year-old dancer Phoebe Collins is well on the way to becoming Australia’s next big hot shot with extensive training programs and professional credits already under her belt.

Want to progress your technical training? Desire to be on stage with other like-minded dancers? Want to work with some of Melbourne’s most up and coming choreographers?

Auditions for the Mornington Peninsula-based contemporary collective Spark Youth Dance Company are happening Saturday 20th January at the Southern Peninsula Arts Centre.

Imagine a place where professional dancers can get new inspiration, a challenging training that makes them more versatile artists, and career advice. A place where, also, dance enthusiasts can attend events that provide practical and theoretical tools to help them understand dance on their own terms. Lastly, a place where emerging artists who have something to say are given the time and space to let their artistic minds flow freely.
