Channing Tatum brings Magic Mike Live to Australia
Hollywood superstar Channing Tatum announced he is bringing Magic Mike Live to Australia, kicking off the tour in Melbourne mid-next year.
The brains behind the show spectacular, Channing Tatum made a special appearance at a media conference in Melbourne alongside the all-male cast of Magic Mike Live Australia.
It took a few years for it to all come together but … man … did it come together. We have something planned for Australia that is going to blow your minds,” said Tatum, who is the co-director and curator of Magic Mike Live.
Tatum, alongside his co-director and choreographer Alison Faulk, revealed the production would be set in the world’s largest purpose-built Spiegeltent called ‘The Arcadia’. The tent will sit on Birrarung Marr and features a 600-seat theatre surrounded by grand spiral staircases, a multi-storey fully-functional bar that also acts as a jungle gym for the performers, an art gallery of Tatum’s photography and a glass barrier on the second level where the dancers also perform.
Magic Mike Live unfolds in front of, behind and above the audience, enveloping patrons in an unforgettable, 360-degree, whirlwind of dance, comedy and extraordinary acrobatics.”
It’s a dance show you can actually touch,” added Tatum.
Tickets are now on sale for Magic Mike Live Australia which is expected to run for 24 weeks from late May 2020. http://www.ticketmaster.com.au
