October 4th is a day of international recognition for the classical arts, famously known as World Ballet Day. Five leading ballet companies from around the world are set to get involved in a 20-hour live stream to showcase their upcoming performances, with exclusive behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage and interviews with industry leaders. The Australian Ballet is a proud ambassador of World Ballet Day, along with The National Ballet of Canada, San Francisco Ballet, The Royal Ballet and Bolshoi Ballet. This year the live stream will include the bonus of pre-recorded footage from a wide range of dance organisations from Hong Kong Ballet, Queensland Ballet, West Australian Ballet and many other companies situated in England and the United States.
